Delete Your Account

You can delete your BalloonRadar account and associated data at any time, either directly within the app or by contacting us by email. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1 — Delete in the app

1. Open the BalloonRadar app and sign in.
2. Tap the menu icon (☰) to open the side panel.
3. Go to Settings → Account.
4. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately.

Option 2 — Request by email

If you no longer have access to the app, send an email to:

balloonradar@gmail.com
Subject: Delete Account
Please include the email address associated with your BalloonRadar account so we can locate and delete it. We will process your request within 30 days.

What data is deleted

Upon account deletion, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your account credentials (email address, password hash)
• Your profile information (name, pilot photo, balloon photo)
• Your AI-generated balloon icon
• Your FCM device token and notification preferences
• Your real-time GPS data and live flight data

Data retained after deletion

Flight path archive — retained for 5 years.
Historical GPS flight data (position, altitude, speed, heading) may be retained for up to 5 years from the date of the flight. This data may be required in the context of aviation safety investigations or legal proceedings under applicable EU and national law. The archive does not contain your name or email address after account deletion.
